Ok, so thinking about updating my XM16E1 Spyder (AKA Project BAT).
Now I'm considering converting it to an M16A4 or M4A1.
For the M16A4, all I need is a new handguard. Should be about $90, plus shipping for the one I'm looking at.
Or for the M4A1, I'll need a new handguard and stock. The handguard is cheaper than the M16A4, but with the stock, I think it will be over $100.
I'm not going to get rid of the Vietnam era stuff. I just want some more options to better match potential scenario events and themes. I'll only have enough cash to do one.
Thoughts? Opinions?

Woot. Now the M4A1 might be the same price as the M16A4. That's about half the price of the one from RAP4 (though they appear to be the same!). Maybe splurge and get a Big Shot Assault barrel and use my Tiberius suppressor on the end for that Spec Ops look. Hmmm.... Maybe get a carry handle sight rail and put my T9's red dot on top. |

I think thats it. Foregrip/Handguard, stock, possibly a sight rail that attaches to the carry handle.
