3 Piece and a Biscuit!

WWW
« on: June 28, 2010, 04:51:33 PM »

After staring at my BAR on Saturday I have devised a way to move the wooden foregrip back. Its going to involve me cutting the right side of it to accommodate the Cyclone. If all goes well I will only have to buy one screw to replace the cyclone screw with a longer one...and maybe a washer.

Worse case...I botch the foreend up and have to buy a new one which is $60.

Jacksons gonna work on the new grip and I think the addition of the 20 inch Flasc barrel will clean it up alot.

Well the JB weld didnt work at all..just snapped right off. So I need to find a new way to secure the foregrip to the gas tube. This will require some thought...

Round 1 is about 97% complete. I just need to shave down a bit more of the wooden foregrip. But here it is...

Before There was a 2 inch Gap between the foregrip and the marker:

I removed the 2 inches and now the foregrip sits nicely up against the marker. I love it. It looks so much cleaner and realistic now:

As I said, its a little off..its tilted just a bit. But I think that can be fixed by sanding it down a bit. Ill probably do that once I get the new barrel. However Im worried that the Flasc Barrel wont be long enough and it will look out of proportion. I wont know until I get it.

Round 2 will consist of getting the flash hider made as well as getting the new barrel painted if it works.
Round 3 is what Jackson is working on. The Rifle grip as opposed to the pistol.
Round 4 and 5 are maybes...A real BAR rear sight and Bi-pod.

Can you drill a hole in the foregrip and run a screw through the push pin hole in the x7? Strengthen it up a bit.

I need quick advice... I just seen this on Ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/Bar-1918-bipod-great-condition-/120589468539?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c13b1437b

The cheapest everyone else sells a Real BAR bipod for is $300.... Should I take the Mag money and get it?
