Milsim paintball has come along way in recent years. A lot of milsim scenarios deal with the growing urban area. Places like the MOUNT facility at the Army's Camp Blanding in Florida play host to many scenario games. It is fact that military tactics in general won't work well on a paintball feiled yet at least in my opinion, urban operations is a diffrent matter because of how close it can get.

Set up is your basic 10x10 room. Team set up as far as weapons and gear go need to be small and compact, yet offer rate of fire and acuraicy. Gear need to be minimized as much as possible due to the sometimes cramped quarters. It's highly advised to have just the basics on the vest such as pods and air and maybe a grenade or two. A secondary weapon like a pistol (TAC 8/9 or TPX) is also a good option if your primary is to long to manuver around corner.

Standard amount of guys should be 4-6 and the way it works is that the entry team lines up at the door (Stacks up) with the front guy opens the door and can also toss in a grenade. He is now the last guy to enter the room. Every other guy in the team moves either left or rightalong the wall werethe door you entered is to lay down fire for the rest of the team to enter. It gets more complicated when the scenario deals with hostages and precision shooting becomes critical.

With all this said, I hope it proves invaluble for those who read it.

In my experience in playing a house assault style game you will get slaughtered if you just run in a room military style. You have to remember that when the military does this the enemy is usually not expecting an attack and the military will use things like a flash bang or tear gas before entering. Usually in paintball you will have people posting up on the door just waiting for some one to run in. And if just one guy with a semi auto gun or even a open class pump is in the right place he will shoot every single person that goes through that door.

My approach is usually to work as a team with one or two other guys. If there is no door and just a door frame (this is usually the case in paintball) then we will try to work different angels on the door. Usually people will start shooting at you, this tells you where they are and how many. So start working your way up to the door at different angels and you can usually hit a few people inside before you can get close. Then we try to send one of us to the back of the building or around to a window if there is one.  At this point the one or two guys up front are pretty close and are drawing all the attention from the team inside the house. The guy out back just goes in the back door or pops up at close range in a window and just goes to town. Even if he does not get every one before he gets shot he can usually get 75% of the people inside. Then the other two outside can improvise. Usually we just send another guy around the the window or backdoor.

If your inside I think the best idea Is to just lay low and not make a lot of noise until the other team is right up on you.
