As you might now the TAC was not working correctly. The X-valve was taking about 2 seconds between shots to recharge. So I "tinkered" with it today after talking with JJ yesterday. I went online and did a ridiculous amount of reading. I do understand the TAC a bit better now. I believe that it’s working now. Ill have to wait until tomorrow to file paint, but the dry fire appears to have a faster recharge and no delay between shots.
Here is what I did. I went up 1 size in the carrier to a 2, used 1 shim here and oiled the o-rings up nicely. I added an additional shim to the ULT. Ever so slightly increased the velocity and using medium spring. Finally gave it a kiss for good luck and tried it out. Like I said pending tomorrows test, I think we are in business. Now I just need to hit the chrono and make sure it is on target.
NOTE: I found 2 great videos to help me understand what I was working on and how to tear down along with a great how to. I am happy to say they were done by our very own Enhander, and they were on the top of my Google search when I did it. I can only imagine the hundreds of others that have found the same information! This along with the AGD website and forum get me up and running

so it is shooting better(faster), but i am having what appears to be a bit of bolt stick, and occasional shoot down. in addition to a little air leaking dow the barrel. i want to give the oring a little more time before to settle before i change carrier size again. any other suggestions?

I think leaking down the barrel means theres either 1 too many shims in the Xvalve or the Carrier is either too big or too small. I think if its too big it will cause bolt stick, if its too small it will cause a leak.

okay so i droped a carrier size and added 1 shim..working pretty good now wiht 1500PSi in my tank. very fast for a mech, and accuracy is good. occasional shoot down still out of 50 balls i had about 2-3 just kinda roll out of the barrle, but i might have "short stroked" the trigger.
On a side note my CP asa is leaking out the vent hole when the pressure is on. Any ideas on that before i go to the net?

For the ASA, try changing the O-ring on your tank. Now, the "shoot down" you are reffering too is common on mags. Its Short stroking, it'll happen more and more when you lose air. Thats what most people that use mags have a adjustable regulator on their tank so they can pump input pressure up. Mags love high pressure. This also makes the "RT" effect actually work 100%. Check this website out scott, this guy is amazing with mags http://www.zakvetter.com/index.html

What time tomorrow Scott? I should be able to do stuff in the afternoon...pending on when my doctors appt. is. I actually havent been in the best of health lately. I think its from working so much at church, and being in a non-ventilated space while painting. One of the other guys had to go to the doc and he ended up having a lung infection So Im going in tomorrow to get a check up. Ive had horrible headaches and absolutley no energy as of late, and I get exteremly dizzy if I stand up too fast. I hope it goes away before NAM.

Okay so i have isolated my recharge issue to the ULT. i replaced the standard on off from new new tac with my ULT and had no issues. I have added and removed shimms and still have the recharge issue. I am thinking it could be that my pressure was about 1200-1100. I am uping my output pressure to 900 as soon as the shims come in the mail, hopefully that helps. I want to get this tweaked before or in the first mission or two at deadspace. Then i dont have to break down the longbow kit anymore.
Edit: When i put the ULT inthe new valvue i had the recharge issues.
